Vintage Threads

January 2, 2012 By jbmumofone 21 Comments

I have been tagged in this meme by Her Magnificence Mother-Venting, and to be perfectly honest was far too scared not to comply as she shot the tag at my bum.  Ouch.

She wants us to reveal our most ancient/loved/knackered bit of clothing.  You know.  The one that should have hit the rubbish heap YEARS ago but that you just can’t bear to part with, even if it doesn’t EXACTLY fit anymore.  The one destined to remain at the back of the drawer forever and dragged out when you are ill/sad/in need of comfort or simply not done the laundry in a while.

Well here is mine…

OK, so this is not the best shot but if you peer really closely, *squints*, you will read JEM and the Holograms.

*Anticipates screams of delight from the girls*

*Still waiting*

Well, this particular t-shirt was never going to win me any style awards but I LOVE it.  It was bought for me by my lovely sister many many moons ago as she remembered my particular love for these dolls as a child.  Move over Barbie.  These dolls were rock-chicks!  And they had CRAZY hair.  Come to think of it, a little like a certain Venting Maman I know *ducks*.

Anyway I have worn said t-shirt pretty much to death.  It is now quite misshapen, tissue-paper thin and has a few small holes.  I fear it may well not survive many more trips around the washing machine.  But it is still my favourite.

I have no idea why you would want to know this but like I said, Mother-Venting, she threatened to hunt me down.

Better tag some others…promise not to aim at their bottoms though.

I tag Not Just A Mummy, A Hell of A Woman and Melksham Mum.

P.S.  I am not really VERY scared of Mother-Venting.  I actually heart her verily.
