Goodness, we are already into the third week of the bloggers “Get fit with Davina for Next” four week challenge and, amazingly, I feel like I am really hitting my stride now.
At the start of the month I was really not sure how much, if at all, my fitness habits would change, but receiving the lovely Davina for Next gear really gave me the incentive to give it a go and now I am actually starting to enjoy it….MOST of the time.
Last weeks efforts consisted of…
WEDS: 5.3K run with Pam. Mercifully it was a flat route but sadly there was no Monty with us so although there were no hills, there were also no rests. And she made me sprint a bit. Ouch
THURS: 50 sit-ups
FRI: Davina Super Body Sculpt routine consisting of 30 minute workout with small weights.
SAT: 1K jog with my lovely Mum
SUN: 6.3K run with Pam. This time there WERE hills and I received many sympathetic looks from other dog-walkers as I dragged my sorry ass slowly up them nearly in tears. Luckily Monty was with us so I got two very short breaks while Pam dragged him away from playing with other dogs/footballs etc. This is them at the end. Pam looks like she has been for a short stroll. I was bright red, sweating buckets and nearly lame.
MON: 50 sit-ups
TODAY: I received a fabulous surprise in the post from those lovely folks at Next this weekend so I will be giving this a try.
I will let you know how I get on with this next week. I WANT that stomach!
So, all in all, I am feeling quite pleased with myself. I am loving the support I get from the Davina for Next racer-back vest and the capri-pants and the trainers have not hurt my feet at all, despite the fair distances they are being subjected to. All in all the clothing seems to be have been really well thought out and has clearly been designed by someone who exercises a lot.
But best of all, it has got me off the sofa, out of the house, and hopefully shedding the odd pound. Result.

Thank you! Sore legs and cold weather are hampering this weeks efforts though 🙁

Thats a pretty bloody good week of exercise, I love running with my dog although he does make me feel massively unfit as he trots along next to me puffing and panting

I know! It makes you look even worse doesn’t it! Sadly this week not looking so promising as my right calf appears to have taken a bit of a hammering 🙁

Oh, thank you. Am hoping I don’t get bored and give it up. Weather this week not helping. Even Pam didn’t want to run tonight and thats saying something!

Well done! I really don’t think I could even motivate myself to go for a run…especially in the cold weather we’ve had lately. Looking forward to your post on the DVD!
