Honestly folks, I feel quite sad writing this, my final review post of the Davina for Next gear. I was a little unsure about writing sponsored/paid/compensated posts on the blog but I was quite genuinely selfishly smitten with the idea of being given this stuff to review and was just THRILLED to get picked.
However, I was determined to do it honestly. And I have. So here it comes. After four weeks of pretty thorough testing, my final thoughts…
The Davina for Next Vest: I love it. It takes a little wriggling to get into but, once in, there will be no wardrobe malfunctions mid-run. Now that I am being regularly put through my running paces the pounds are slowly shifting and am so impressed with it have actually purchased this with MY OWN MONEY in a smaller size. That’s how much I like it.
The Davina for Next Trainer: I have now put these trainers through over 30K’s worth of running. Not even a hint of a blister or a bruise. I wasn’t sure about the elastic laces but I now quite like them. I do though suspect that the claim of activating your calf muscles by an extra 8% is TRUE. Mine often hurt and need a whole load of stretching after a run. They would maybe serve better as a gym shoe than a running shoe.
The Davina for Next Capri Pants: I love these. They are tight in a ‘will support you enough to stop your ass-wobbling comically’ way, but not tight in a ‘will make you feel really fat’ way. I am hoping that eventually I will shed enough pounds to buy these in a smaller size too. If that miracle ever happens I will. Given that my ass is currently the size of Argentina I am not holding out much hope.
So, all in all, I am SO GLAD that I got to review these items. Not only did I love the stuff but it really gave me the kick in my Argentine-sized ass that I needed to get fit again. A 10K race is now on the horizon.
So big thanks to:
Next: Your bloggers network is just awesome.
Laura J Janssen: Possibly the loveliest PR person ever. Mwah, and you will have that bikini bum by the summer I am sure. You sound skinny to me. If you are ever in a Bristol we should go for a beer run together.
Pam and Monty: Hope your paw heals soon Monty. Go easy on me Pam. But thanks for keeping me going, especially up the hills. Ouch.
Davina: Good stuff.
So check back in with me in six months my lovely readers and hopefully you will find this…
…fingers crossed.
