Oh.
This one came my way via the wonderful Slightly Suburban Dad. I heart his blog verily but am not sure I want to share all of this. So, be warned, SOME parts may be a lie.
First Boyfriend:
Alessandro. My primary school sweetheart. I bumped into him on Christmas Eve a few years back and he is still just as lovely as he was when he was seven. Great guy. Italian. Kind of. Introduced me to his wife as the first girl he ever proposed to. He wasn’t kidding. He had nicked all the plastic money from the reception class to buy my ring. He was destined for great things. He is now a Mafioso.
First Person I Kissed:
Alessandro. What? Kiss-chase doesn’t count? There must have been others in between but the first kiss I gave, that I really meant, would have been Matt. I am sure it was terrible. He was a boy that I loved then and still love now. My best friend. Then and still now. Lord knows why as he cheated on me back then with “thunder-thighs” but he had a very cheeky smile and let me beat him at pool quite a lot so all was forgiven.
First Job:
Chamber-maid. It was a B and B. They weren’t exactly ‘chambers’. LOVED that job. I was also receptionist, bar-maid and occasionally cook. Weirdly the guests used to tell me all sorts. I met a Russian spy, a member of the House of Lords and was bought a G and T by a minor Royal.
First Pay Packet-What I Bought:
I actually know the answer to this one. A god-awful cream-beady-hippyish top. Because I was meant to be a traveller. Honest. It was from C and A. THAT is how old I really am.
First CD I Bought:
Mahahaha…first album that I bought was on vinyl. Brother Beyond. I’ll speak no more of this matter.
First Holiday Abroad:
My first overseas trip without the folks was a mid six-form jaunt with the delightful Cat from Yellow Days to Turkey. It was …… mmmmm ….. errrrrr ……. TERRIFYING. Not Cat. She was ace. But also very blonde. We were harassed pretty much night and day by the local fellas. If ever I have a mid-life crisis I will be heading back out there.
What Age Were You When You Left Home:
Eighteen. Went to Uni in Cardiff then lived in Swansea, Reading, Cardiff again, Dublin, Cardiff again and now Bristol.
Phew. So there you have it. Now I tag…
MAMMASAURUS! There has got to be a good tale or two there!
AND Cat from Yellow Days…sorry.

PMSL! I knew you’d do a great job. The ‘first CD’ is inspired, I thought there was literally no-one who bought Brother Beyond’s stuff and they were a made up media entity. #fail

I may have been their one and only fan. They had great shoulder-padded suits.

Nice one One.
I have heard lots of stories about Turkish men relentlessly harassing women.

It was truly awful…but sunny. Win some, lose some 😉

Hahaha! Turkey is just the place to go if you want to be harassed. Your first boyfriend sounds so cute!

He was a proper sweetie 🙂
