So, tomorrow is the day we are moving to a self-hosted domain readers. And I am, quite frankly, bricking it.
What if it all gets messed up?
What if nothing works right and it all looks really rubbish?
Do I really have the necessary knowledge to go self-hosted? Probably not.
But, on the other hand I knew NOWT about computers before starting this blog and I have bumbled along picking up bits as I go.
So why move? Well, ideally it would be nice to perhaps earn just a little bit of money while doing something I enjoy so much. Recently I appear to have hit the radar of a few PR companies who seem keen for me to run the odd sponsored post and are happy to renumerate me.
Times are tough folks.
I haven’t actually agreed to any yet as this domain will not allow it and I am still not that sure that I want to do them.
But I think I might. So I need to move.
I really hope that this won’t put off any of my readers and I was given excellent advice last week when I met the beautiful Actually Mummy and Her Magnificence Mammasaurus, about keeping these all on a separate page.
I promise to make it very clear which posts have been sponsored and do hope that you guys won’t mind TOO much.
Will you?
Do I really want to to do this?
*Clenches jaw some more.*

I went self hosted its easy peasy! My panic was losing everything too but I didn’t thankfully. I don’t get the whole pr aspect, or advertisement etc. but feel free to ask about anything else. I even managed to get a posh email address 😉 xx

I didn’t have a clue about moving to self-hosted but you do just kind of learn it as you go along. It’s much better too! I remember having the same dilemma when I started doing sponsored posts but at the end of the day it is silly to turn down money for something which people can choose not to read, I think as long as you still post more of your own content and write them in your own words then there is no harm done. I do like the idea of doing them on a separate page though, in fact I am going to start doing that! x

Thanks honey. I am so new to all of this is all a bit scary but if I can make some play-money that would be great.

I’m sure it’ll be much easier than you think once you get started. I’ve done a few sponsored posts and it’s never affected the rest of the blog. I think there’s only a few people who are really bothered by them and I always thought people who take their blogs that seriously probably don’t read my meagre offerings anyway. Good Luck! x

Thanks chicken. Fear there may be a few sleepless nights this week.

Well if you’ve already moved I’ve found you

If not go for it, nothing wrong with a review or two. If they get you to review Krug remember you owe me a bottle 😉
