Yay! A tag! And not just any old tag but a tag from the awesome SAHDandproud who is back and blogging with brilliance once more. We missed you dude.

So, on with some more little insights into the me that is me. Brace yourselves…

  • If everyday tasks were Olympic events what would you get a gold medal in?
Bleaching.  The kitchen worktops to be exact.  I must do this, on average, twenty-three times a day.  Even the days when I have actually been to work.  It is a bit of an obsession.  As is getting rid of crumbs from underneath the toaster.  WHO can live with crumbs all over the kitchen worktops?  Really who?  How do they get to sleep?
  • As a child, or now even, did you excel at a particular sport and, if so, which one?
Swimming.  Sadly not now but back in the day 300m breaststroke was my race.
  • Michael Phelps (swimmer) or Michael Johnson (runner)?  Which sport appeals to you more?

Phelps.  See above.  Olympic records may get broken in running but they can get SMASHED in swimming.  Truly.

  • How fast can you get out of bed and ready to go out the door if you miss the alarm and sleep in?
Alarm?  Oh yeah, I remember now.  That was the thing I used to use before I had a baby.  Pre-baby I would have said thirty minutes.  Now I could probably do it in five but could not promise would be smelling terribly sweet and may well have banana/yoghurt/bogies/drool smeared across face/clothes/hair.  May also possibly still be wearing slippers.  That actually happened once. The shame.
  • What fantasy sport would you like to see made into an olympic event?
Kitchen-worktop-cleaning.  We could wear patriotic flag-style aprons.
  • What event in past Olympics can you remember most vividly?

Amir Khan winning silver at Athens, 2004.  I am a huge boxing fan and a huge fan of his.  He was only seventeen then and swiftly turned professional.  I have been lucky enough to see him fight live once and would love to do so again.  I think he is awesome.
And Usain Bolt’s 100m dash 2008.  Who can forget that?
  • Tuning at home, or tickets clamped ready in sweaty palms?

Home.  Boo.  I really fancied going but London is apparently the LAST PLACE ON EARTH Mr B wants to be when the games are on.  I kind of get what he means.  Cramped sweaty tubes.  Lots of queues.  At least the sofa will be comfy.

  • Who do you think most deserves a gold medal?  (Any walk of life, not just Olympians).

  1. Bedmaking should be an olympic sport, I’m pretty good at this, the OH and me have races to see who gets the boys beds made up the quickest lol

    • I love the look of bikes but would not be brave enough to ride one myself. Am too much of a wimp. LOVE boxing though. Took Mr B to see Amir Khan fight on our third date. Calzaghe was meant to be fighting too but got injured 🙁
