We were very lucky this week to be sent a 10 piece Miffy wooden puzzle for review.
I have such fond memories of Miffy books as a child and we have recently started to read W ‘Miffy and the new baby’ in preparation for the arrival of baby number two in July.
He was so delighted when we opened up the package and recognised Miffy and her Mummy straight away.
It is strange, there is something so charming about wooden toys for children. Perhaps just the fact that you know they will last forever, but with this one it seemed more than that. It may be the slightly retro bright colours that bring back such warm memories for me.
The puzzle appears very well made. It is light, pegs are firmly attached and there is not a sharp corner or a rough edge in sight.
It is also a great way of practicing fine motor skills, dexterity and shape-matching with your little ones and is recommended for children aged 2 and above. W, not quite two and a half, certainly enjoyed playing with it as you can see.
This would make a lovely gift for any little one and I am sure wil bring back lovely memories for most parents too.
It retails at a cost of £14.99 and is available to purchase, along with lots of other lovely Miffy merchandise, from the official Miffy Shop here.
Miffy fans may also find more information over on the Miffy UK facebook page or by following @Miffy_UK on twitter.
Which characters do you remember fondly from your childhood? Do let me know below.
Disclosure: No payment was received for this post however we were sent the puzzle featured above free of charge for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own and 100% honest.

Ohhh that’s super cute. We are big Miffy fans too – love the simple colours and shapes. And definitely a hint of nostalgia because I remember her from when I was little! I wish I’d known about these puzzles when T was younger as he’s a bit past them now, but it would make a lovely present for someone.
