This month we have been putting a few different products to the test. Here is what we thought…
First we were sent these lovely, non-toxic, cleaning products from Method. As my friends and family will already know I am a bit of a clean-freak and get stupidly excited about stuff like this. The first thing I loved about these though was the simple clean packaging. They look really quite stylish and even better, the packaging is all 100% recycled. My absolute favourite thing though was the fragrance of each product. They all smell delicious. We were sent lavender handwash, ylang ylang daily shower surface cleaner, pink grapefruit multi-surface cleaner and clementine daily surface cleaner.
Now I can be a little OCD about kitchen surfaces and although they smelt beautiful I actually find the smell of bleach reassuring and I struggled to believe that they were properly clean. As such I did find myself reverting back to my normal kitchen cleaner. I also had difficulty removing tomato stains from a white highchair with either of the surface cleaners.
The handwash I LOVE though and the daily shower surface cleaner has made a huge difference to the appearance of the bathroom and really makes the room smell beautiful. Both of these I will certainly buy again.

Next W received some colourful BIC kids ultra-washable pens. He has had a lot of fun putting these to the test colouring in cards, masks…himself…his clothes! I am pleased to say that they do do what they say on the tin and washed off both his skin and his clothes without any trouble. These pens are available at Shoplet.co.uk for £2.71.
The next item we were delighted to review as we had really been struggling to find suitable children’s bedding for his new ‘big boy’s bed’. Although most kid’s clothes are made from 100% cotton these days it would appear that this is not true for bedding and since he can be prone to eczema any polyester is really not advisable. We were so thrilled when this beautiful 100% cotton bedding arrived from Room To Grow.
W loves it as he is currently obsessed with Fireman Sam. You can find this and lots of other lovely children’s products and beautiful children’s furniture on the Room To Grow website here. They even sell time-out chairs!
And finally, if my first love is cleaning products my second would have to be stationary. I am such a geek! I loved this selection of recycled pads, notebooks, pens, rulers and pencil case from memoetc.co.uk. This eco-stationary kind of blows my mind a bit. The pens are made from recycled sweetcorn, the pencils from recycled CD cases, the leather notebooks from shoes and the pencil case from a car tyre! You can see more from the Remarkable recycled range on their website along with lots more.
So there you have it. It has been a fun month and we are feeling particularly eco-friendly. That’s all folks.
Disclosure: No payment was received for this post however I was provided with the products featured free of charge for the purpose of this review.

Great stuff – I love that bed linen – it’s a struggle to find something for my boys that are not babyish or skulls, let alone 100% cotton :)so thank you,

I know exactly what you mean! I really like the bedding and was amazed at the lack of choice in high street stores.
