This is such a simple upcycling craft.
I have recently been drinking quite a lot of Bottle Green cordials and each time I place the empty bottle in the recycling it seems like such a shame. They are a really lovely shape.
Finally I decided to hang on to a few and see what I could make with them and a vase seemed an obvious choice.
For this all you will need is an empty glass bottle, craft gems/rhinestones which can be found in my amazon store and craft glue.
First I soaked the bottle for an hour or so in warm, soapy water before removing the labels.
Then I simply stuck on the gems. I had bought self-adhesive ones but found that after a while they began to drop off so have now secured each with a small bit of craft glue.
This could now be used as a very pretty candle-holder but I decided to use mine as a vase. I think this is something children would love to create and would also make a beautiful Mother’s Day gift.
I now plan to make several more and turn them in to Christmas trees for a pretty Christmas table centrepiece.
Stay tuned.

Thanks Amanda, I am going to make a few more I think. I just wish I could think of a way to get a light inside it.
