Blogger’s block.
I am currently in the midst of a severe case. The worst case, in fact, since I began this blog almost three years ago now.
There have been periods before where I have struggled to come up with new ideas, and times that I have questioned whether or not I should continue, but at the moment I am just feeling kind of….blank.
Totally.
Blank.
In fact.
I thought perhaps a Silent Sunday or Gallery post might help, but you guys probably get enough of that kind of stuff on Instagram and The Almighty Book of Faces right?
Blogs are to be read, no?
Except this one…at the moment.
I can’t even blame not having the opportunity. Weirdly, I have had lots of time recently in which I would have hoped to rattle off a quick post, something to hopefully make you smile.
So, I apologise lovely readers…*peers against the screen to see if anyone is there.*
I hope that normal service will resume shortly.
Blimey.
I have no idea what to do instead.
Is this why people file their nails?
If anyone has any suggestions of how to get me out of this curious state, and shift the blogger’s block, I would love to hear them.
*Heads desk*

I’m finding the same thing to be honest, I’ve kind of run out of steam and haven’t posted anything for over a month. Oddly enough my more serious book writing is coming along nicely.
I don’t really have any suggestions I’m afraid but I don’t see why you shouldn’t just keep the blog open anyway. If/when you think of something to write, I’ll still pop along.

Thank you, that is lovely of you. I noticed you had been a bit quiet too…especially given little Justin’s recent behaviour. I thought there may be some Bieber posts appearing! Am glad your book writing is going ok. Let me know when you’re next one is ready and will pop it on the kindle.

no harm in taking a break until you get more in the mood for it. Your tots score is good so you must be dong something right.

Thanks Elaine….these rankings are all a bit of a mystery to me.

I have times like this to. I just remind myself to write about things that I’m interested In, and my own life, rather than what other people want to read. I blog for me, followers and comments etc are a bonus.
And I love silent Sundays, I like looking through them and like joining in too 🙂
Xxx

I have just started a blog with a friend and my biggest worry is getting bloggers block. I’ll be interested to read ideas on how to combat it!
jbmumofone says
Good luck with it. I am sure you will really enjoy it.

I get this way sometimes too. I also take inspiration from other blogs and the media, or just what’s on my mind… It is hard sometimes! x
jbmumofone says
It really is! Hopefully I will be up and running properly again soon.

I should imagine that you are very busy with your children too. Everything I’m inspired to write about seems to have already been done at the moment. I hope your block shifts soon.
