Yesterday was a day I will truly never forget. It was the day I joined some of the most unassuming but most inspirational women I have ever met and danced like a loon for six hours straight.
We covered, or at least attempted, 12 different dance styles in that time. We shimmied, sashayed, lunged and bounced until we could literally bounce no more. At the start we were like a super human, 2000 strong, dancing machine. At the end we were sweat laden cripples, lucky if we could even sway and could barely lift our arms. Everything ached.
And we honked. Man did we honk.
My photos are terrible but I will share a few. It is hard to get a good shot whilst bouncing.
The following video I cannot claim credit for though. This was taken by Annie and shows the true might of Helen’s freestyle dance skills. She rocked out.
Ladies, honkers, it was an honour and a privilege to dance with you yesterday. We have raised almost 30K.
Sponsors, I cannot thank you enough.
Yesterday we changed the future of many, many people.
THAT.
That is awesome.
For those that asked for links to add your sponsorship, pop on over here and have a #honk. You are brilliant. https://my.rednoseday.com/sponsor/jennybath

A legal rave? That looks like heaven.
And you’ve got a corking set of pins on you.

You are too kind *blushes*.
It was amazing. I so nearly didn’t go. What these ladies do, and deal with daily, is just incredible and they still manage to arrange something like this. You are right about the anxiety. I need to get a grip though. These women totally inspired me yesterday.

Ha! There was a distinct lack of alcohol amongst us all so maybe you’re right! Whatever, it was a brilliant day!

Great to read this post and see the photos as out of over 90 bloggers I think I only met about 5. Glad you had such a great time. I am living on the sofa today, although walking to and from school this morning was interesting. Tomorrow we’ll ache even more though. Ouch x

Aw, glad you had a fab time too – my only wish is that I’d managed to talk to more honkers, but especially you, as I don’t think you were far away but we didn’t really get chance to chat! Too much excitement and nerves flying around to stop and speak to everyone. We’ll just have to do it all again 🙂
