We are now in full blown holiday countdown. With just four weeks to go until our two week vacation in Halkidiki excitement levels are increasing daily. For Mr B and I this is also extra special as it may well be the last holiday we stay somewhere quite as nice as our hotel this year. With The Boy starting school in September we are soon to become victims to the ridiculous hike in flight and holiday prices during the limited school holiday season so, this summer, we are going to grab a little bit of luxury while we still can.
We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past and one aspect I do really love is the ‘dressing up for dinner’. I know it’s not for everyone but we get a real kick out of it.
And not only do I now get to plan my dinner outfits but I get to choose for the kids too. Triple whammy.
Whilst wanting them to look the part I am very conscious that THEY need to be happy with what they are wearing. Not normally from a style point of view as yet, although Little Miss does have a habit of saying “Pretty!” each time I tie her hair back. Comfort is key. If they don’t feel comfortable you can guarantee that dinner is going to be an ongoing battle.
So, on my holiday wish list for The Boy is the following ensemble.
Boss Polo Shirt, £24.oo. Hackett Blazer, £109.54, Hackett Loafer, £60.44. Ralph Lauren Shorts, £41.55.
Ok, so he probably won’t need the jacket in Greece but it will certainly come in handy back in Blighty hey? I love the preppy/junior-James-Bond feel of this.
And for the girl I chose these. I think the nautical feel is perfect for beachside dining.
Ralph Lauren Dress, £71.77. Pom D’Api Sandals, £61.19
What do you think?
Do you love picking holiday outfits for the kids or do you find it yet another odorous pre-holiday chore to tick off before you can relax? Do let me know below.
