With summer in full swing I do love a bit of nautical fashion, even more so since moving so near to the coast. At the moment the hope of owning our own boat is a distant dream but something we are aiming to achieve in the future.
With this in mind, it is important to look the part, no?
I already own far too many Breton tops, six at the last count, but what about the smalls?
Here are my favourite nautical picks for The Boy this year.
Little Marcel, striped jersey top with hood, £31.00
I love this beautiful striped jersey top, perfect for the cooler summer evenings, especially when on deck. (We should be so lucky!) This would team perfectly with the following shorts and shoes.
Timberland, Twill bermuda shorts, currently £27
Levi’s, Twill and leather boat shoes, currently £20
And of course nautical fashion is not just for the boys. Here are my picks for Little Miss should we be lucky enough to set sail. I love the flower shaped skirt on this striped dress and the sandals I would wear myself.
Monnalisa, striped girl’s dress, £120
Pepe Jeans, printed flip flops, currently £14
I do think living by the sea is beginning to rub off on me. Now, I just need that boat…

The Boy would look well boss in that top, and I reckon you’d look ace in that dress if they did a larger one.
Have you seen the BBC Ibiza Prom Night? The Heritage Orchestra did a 90 minute set at The Royal Albert Hall playing a load of classic Ibiza tunes.
So that’s Robert Miles, Fatboy Slim, and Cafe del Ma, etc. all played on violins and stuff.
