So, the last year…where to begin?
At the beginning I guess.
January this year we were just starting to settle into our new home in Devon. It was still feeling very new. People here seemed to move VERY slowly. There may have been a little bit of rage in supermarket queues when folks just stopped for a chat, but we got used to that.
We booked in several workmen to do varying bits about the house. Occasionally they turned up at the scheduled times. Mostly they didn’t, but we got used to that too.
This year Mr B and I have both, without doubt, slowed down a little.
I still work frequently in Bristol and each time I do I am now so aware of just how FAST people are moving. I never noticed this at all when we lived there. I have adapted to country life somewhat it seems. And that is good.
My beautiful boy has started school and I could not be more proud of him. My beautiful girl becomes more strong-willed and challenging every day, and I could not be more proud of her.
Mr B and I are a bit tired. But we are happy.
It was a big jump but it was the right jump for our little family.
For our team.
There have been hurdles. Aren’t there always? Mostly of my making.
I MIGHT have taken on a little bit too much, but it is stuff that means the world to me and is worthy of some effort on my part.
BUT, it has been a good year.
A great year for Team Bath.
Thanks so much to those of you that have read along with us.
Merry Christmas folks.
