The gifts that newlyweds actually want.
2019 is in full swing which means that the wedding season is fast approaching! And while you might have your outfit already planned and your accessories all lined up, the hotel room booked and a relative to have the kids for the day (hooray!) you might have forgotten one crucial element of being a wedding guest.
The gift.
Now, don’t panic. It’s perfectly acceptable to gift them a toaster or a set of fancy wine glasses, or something that will invest in their future – click the link to find out more – but if you really want to gift them something that they’ll treasure throughout their married life, then read on for a little inspiration!
A weekend away
Yes, they might be jetting off on honeymoon straight after the reception, or maybe they’re putting their big holiday on hold for a little while – but that doesn’t mean you can’t treat them in the meantime! From a weekend escape, glamping in the countryside, or a big hotel in the city with views of famous landmarks. Whatever kind of getaway they’re into, you’re sure to find plenty of deals online, with most providers allowing the recipient to choose from various locations in the UK and the dates they want for the break.
A spa treat
Sending the newlyweds off to the spa for some much needed pampering is a lovely thought. Especially after all the stress of planning and executing the perfect wedding day. Spa breaks can be expensive so if your budget is a little modest, don’t worry – you can still treat them to a spa treatment, or even just a few hours to use the spa facilities. They’ll probably be treatments designed for couples too!
Soft stuff
By this we mean blankets, pillows, throws, even new cushions! Perfect for all those evenings together and cosy nights in. If you’ve been to their house recently, you’ll know what style and colour to go for.
A coffee machine
They may already have one – or you could potentially gift them the best thing that ever happened to their morning routine. There’s nothing better than the smell of fresh coffee in the morning, and you can even buy them some fancy coffee beans to go with it to get them started.
A photo session
They’ll undoubtedly have hundreds of photographs to look through and approve from their photographer after the big day. But how about gifting them another photo shoot where they can be a little more relaxed? A photoshoot in their favourite park or outdoor area, in a studio, or at the place where the proposal happened. They’ll love filling their home with the gorgeous pictures.
A memory box
Getting married is a hectic moment and it’s gone in a flash – which means there’s plenty to remember and lots that might get forgotten about. So, make it easier for them to remember the highlights of the day – and the little moments they may have missed – and gift them a gorgeous memory box. Have it engraved with their married name on the top and they can fill it with favours from the wedding, photographs, confetti, the order of service and anything else they choose!
