It has been a particularly sad week for my family this week and we have all been feeling a bit down.
Today I remembered that we had agreed to host a curry night for friends on Thursday. We had considered canceling but actually am sure it will do us good…but am so far MASSIVELY unprepared and am working from now until then.
So, where does one turn in their hour of need?
I tried twitter.
Earlier today I sent a heartfelt plea for easy lamb curry recipes STAT.
The fantabulous SAHDandproud came instantly to my aid and forwarded my plea to two other bloggers he thought may be able to help.
And they both did.
My Daddy Cooks replied straight away and e-mailed me a recipe from his fabulous cookbook that sounds simple enough even for me. He has a fantastic video-cookery blog so if you are ever in need of mealtime inspiration check him out here.
The Curry Guy also came to my rescue and for all things Indian his cookery blog is a must see. Check it out here.
Freddie and Reggie showed me a good way to cheat and Mini Munchkin Market pointed me in the direction of a Jamie Oliver recipe.
On top of all of this kindness that wily minx Motherventing made me laugh so hard I choked. Nothing to do with curry.
Tweeps, I salute thee.
Twitter, I adore thee.
Thanks folks.

Hey JB,
Sorry not to have been more help at the time, but it may be worth checking out this link in future.

This company are so cool it hurts and the monthly meal kits they sell are awesome. We have signed several people up to their 3 or 6 month deals and have never had a bad experience.
Love to all in JB land

Nice one Jen.
I remember life before mobiles and the Internet. Mobiles I could do without. The Internet?
Not on your life.

HI huni, I’m sorry about the late reply and read of this blog, I am sorry to hear you had a touch time, but I am glad I helped a lil bit! How did you evening and curry go? I love twitter too- it’s amazing how people who have never ever met can help out so much.
I am running a charity event in aid of Manchester Children’s Hospital next month. I cannot believe how many amazing raffle prices I’ve received from lovely people via twitter!
I love twitter and I am proud to be….
