Rally
Defn: To call together for a common purpose.
There has been some proper rallying amongst the blogging community this week. Something which has astounded me somewhat. It is easy to forget sometimes how kind and genuinely good-hearted most people really are. It began when many of us were horrified to read this post.
For those of you who don’t follow her blog Clara is a wonderful blogger, mummy to Beans who is 19months old, and wife to Daddy-to-Beans. Since giving birth to Beans she has battled with severe post-natal depression and, despite her own troubles, has worked tirelessly to increase awareness and end the stigma surrounding this crippling condition.
She is currently in need of some help. Despite refusing to ask for any she has finally agreed to accept some help with her current situation. She has recently been granted a council house whose condition can only be described as horrific. You can read more about this here but the photos below may give you some idea of how bad things are.
Pretty dire eh?
So, led by the magnificent Mammasaurus, the troops have been rallied. A wonderful community of bloggers are pulling together to try and clear this house up and turn it into a decent, liveable home for Beans and her parents.
Some are rolling up their sleeves and accompanying Mammasaurus and Cambridge Mummy on their journey to Norwich next Sunday, 26th August, where they will drop off some supplies and get decorating! Many of us who are unable to make it in person are donating what we can to help by way of vouchers for paint, toys for beans, furniture etc.
There is a full list of the most needed items here.
I know many of my fellow bloggers are already very aware of all of this but I thought some of my non-blogging readers may not be but may still wish to help. If so please head on over to Mammasaurus where you can view the list or leave her a comment if you wish to help out in any other way.
It is time to rally the troops folks.

Im with you I love the way this has all happened, a few caring people have rallied dozens of genuine helpers in what ever small way each can help. For each person giving up a day or 2, or a £ or 2 can make such a huge difference to one person who needs but did not ask for help.

I really hope so. I think the reaction amongst bloggers has been brilliant. Fingers crossed we can make things a bit better for them.

Thanks lovely lady, it’s great community to be part of – like a family without the odd lecherous uncle.
Much appreciated 😀

It’s moments like these that make me proud to be part of such a giving community. Hats off to the wonderful Annie at Mammasauras for making this happen.
