My beautiful girl. I have written you a letter, as I did with your brother the day that he turned one. This is a purely selfish post, and one that you will no doubt berate me for when you are older but I am just so bloody proud of you.

It’s funny I always worried about whether I would be able to love another child as much as my first one, but when the second (and the third) came along it turned out to be much easier than expected. It’s utterly encompassing. ‘From my bones…’ – I love that.
