I remember all too well being pregnant for the first time. Although ridiculously excited at the prospect of becoming parents Mr B and I were too scared to start shopping for baby stuff until we had our twenty week scan and all seemed well. Then, the sheer reality of the AMOUNT OF STUFF we needed to buy began to sink in.
Where do you start? I am a list person. I made lists of lists of lists of the stuff that needed to be bought, borrowed, investigated, invented and suddenly the next twenty weeks didn’t seem long enough to get it all done. Not only that, the prospect of having to actually go out and look for all this stuff was pretty daunting for my increasingly large, and rather lazy, pregnant bottom.
But shop we did. Every weekend. Across town in the morning to check out prams, out to the mall to look at cots, back around the other side of town to look for nursery fabrics, and on and on and on…..or so it seemed.
If someone had told me I could find virtually everything I needed online, from the same website, I think I might just have left Mr B and married them instead. But no-one did.
For those of you who now find yourselves in a similar position read on. I was recently contacted by Online 4 Baby and asked to take a look around their website and it is exactly what I, back then, had needed. It has everything you could possibly need, with the exception of clothing, for your baby and toddlers.
They don’t just sell prams for example, they sell prams, matching change bags, parasols, footmuffs, pushchair toys and pram blankets from many major brands. Looking for twin prams and pushchairs and worried there may be a limited range? Nope. They have two whole pages of them.
Online 4 baby sell highchairs, sterilisers, bath toys, car seats, safety gates, baby monitors, toys. They even sell cots, all on the same website.
What impressed me the most though was the bedding. I have written before about our struggles with bedding. Mr B has quite sensitive skin and as such all our bedding has to be 100% cotton. We are fairly sure The Boy is going to be the same so we always make sure the children’s bedding is too but you would be amazed at how many bedding sets for children have polyester in them. It can be really hard to find nice children’s bedding, 100% cotton that doesn’t cost the earth. I am so delighted they contacted me as I have since discovered the Claire De Lune range on their site which is perfect. It is simple, elegant and most importantly 100% cotton.
It really is an incredibly comprehensive site and they currently have a huge sale on with 75% off many items.
So, if you are in a pre-birth panic and fear you won’t have everything ready in time fear not. Make a list, head on over to Online 4 baby, and get it all done in one clean swoop. You don’t even have to leave the house.
P.S. However many muslins are on your list, triple it. YOU NEED MORE. Don’t worry. They sell them too.
Disclosure: This post was brought to you in association with Online 4 Baby however all words are my own.

I remember those days too. I also remember not using half the stuff with my second baby. It was probably because I didn’t get the chance. You are so right about your very last point!! 😀

Oh goodness, what a great sounding site! It would be so much easier being able to get everything in one place – I have many memories of trudging around shops while pregnant, working my way through that long list of things we needed! Would have been much more fun to order it all from my comfy spot on the sofa…

I so wish I had known about this site when I was getting prepared! It seemed like such fun at first, wandering the shops looking for the perfect things but the novelty soon wore off 😉

I have to say I’m pleased to be past this stage, but my niece is pregnant so I’ll point her over to this site. Thanks, Mich x
