Happy Monday lovely folks. This week our party is being hosted by the gorgeous Carolin from Mummy Alarm. It would be awesome if you would pop by and see who she has chosen as her featured pinners from last week's fantastic lot. If you are new to the party, it is very lovely to have you here and, if you wish to join in, here is what to do: 1. Link up one, or more, of your own parenting/family posts. You can link either the post itself or a pinterest pin, whichever you prefer. Each entry will be pinned to the Monday Parenting Pin-It Party board on ...
Anthem Of The Seas: The Perfect Family Holiday
Anyone following my Instagram or twitter feeds last weekend will have noticed many excitable posts from myself. The reason for this was that on Saturday 18th April Mr B and I were invited onboard Royal Caribbean's brand new Quantum Class ship, Anthem Of The Seas, for a two night voyage. There is just so much to tell you that it may require another post, but I will try to share with you all of the best bits we discovered whilst onboard, and show you why this really could make the PERFECT family holiday. We, like many others, have often wondered if a cruise is really an ...
Holy Smokes
It has taken me a little while to sit down and document the events of Easter Sunday. I have been in recovery...from the shame. Yep, Little Miss decided to strut, or rather scream, her stuff once more. I have been somewhat remiss in my church attendance of late and so, being Easter Sunday, I decided to accompany my parents and the kids to mass. Not just any mass, Easter Sunday mass, the highlight of the Catholic year. It's kind of a big deal. Now I know that an hour can be a long time to expect the smalls to sit still and behave but my mother assured me that with some ...
Mondays Parenting Pin It Party #100!
ONE HUNDRED weeks ago I started the Parenting Pin it Party. ONE HUNDRED weeks. Where did that go? At the start I was terrified that no one would join in. Thankfully I could not have been more wrong. That week, and each week since, so many of you have linked up and shared your posts. You have made me laugh, you have made me cry. You have offered advice on dealing with challenging behaviour, starting school, budgeting and even dealing with the loss of a child. You have provided me with inspiration for crafts and activities that I have since enjoyed doing with my ...
Preparing Your Child For Their First Sleepover
The boy is now at the age that we are beginning to consider sleep-overs with friends. I must confess that I am a little bit nervous about it, more so than him. He has only ever stayed with his grandparents without us previously, which are totally familiar surroundings. I worry that he will wake in the night and not know where he is, I dread the thought of him wanting me, or Daddy, and not being able to find us. Oh why do they have to grow up? I have decided that before we embark on his first proper night away from us to let him get a little familiar with his ...
Monday Parenting Pin It Party #99
Happy Monday folks. I am hosting this week's parenting pin it party *shakes maracas* so come on in, grab a glass of vino and let's get started. First, here are my two favourites from last weeks party. I definitely want to try and make these gorgeous Dragon Eggs and Hodge Podge Craft have a wonderful tutorial on how to do it. I also really want to try to make theses super cute bumble bees from Nemcsok Farms. How sweet are they? So a huge thank you to our two featured pinners. Do feel free to grab yourself a badge. <div ...
WIN a Scrumptious Scrambled Egg From Hotel Chocolat
"It's all about the eggs, the eggs, the eggs, no bacon..." Yep that's right folks, Easter is nearly upon us and just look what the postie brought me today! The lovely folk at Hotel Chocolat sent me this package of deliciousness from their Easter Eggs and Gifts range. Oh the irony of this arriving just as I finish cooking up batch after batch of low-fat, high fibre soups for the week. I know, I know, I know I am meant to be on a diet and fitness mission. Shhh! I know. But Easter calories don't count right? Hope not as I am NOT ...
Review: Extend Dishrack from Joseph Joseph
I confess that am a huge fan of Joseph Joseph products. Their utensils and tableware have a certain unique style and I love their trademark bold lime-green colour. When I was asked if I would like to review the new Extend dish rack for them I jumped at the chance. Not just because I love their products, but also because our drainage board tends to look like this most of the time... We don't currently have a dishwasher and there is simply never enough space in one rack to let everything drain so we have resorted to adding an absorbable mat alongside, and I worry this is ...
Monday Parenting Pin It Party #98
Happy Monday folks and hope you all had a great weekend. This week's party is being hosted by the delightful Fairy and the Frog. Please do pop by and see which two pins from last week's party they have chosen to feature. It is just two weeks until we hit our 100th Pin it party. can you believe it? Do let me know if there is anything special you would like to see featured that week. It would be nice for you all to be involved and we really do love you all joining in. We would love for you to join in with us again this week. If you are a newbie here ...
Spring Fashion For Boys
So, following on from last month's post which was all about the girls, as promised this month we will be taking a look at some Spring/Summer fashion for the boys. This is a market which many designers are now beginning to realise the true potential value of. 2013 saw Burberry's sales increase significantly following the first foray into modelling by a young Romeo Beckham, and with his elder brother Brooklyn rarely out of the spotlight boys' fashion is grabbing more of the markets attention. As with the mini-female-fashionistas, trends for this year's spring summer ...
