In June 2012 a small group of bloggers wrote about the terrible atrocities occurring in Syria, with particular regard to the effect this was having on the children of Syria. A large number of fellow bloggers also got involved to help to raise awareness. Sadly we are now three months on and the atrocities are still occurring. Can we really continue to just look away and do nothing? Perhaps this post will make no difference at all but even if it makes just one of you do something, anything, you can to help then it will be worth it. Horrific crimes against children ...

30 Day Shred: Belly-busting time again
I simply cannot resist a new exercise fad. Correction, I simply cannot resist a new exercise fad for brief periods of time until I: a)get tired, b)lose interest, c)decide wine and chocolate and collapsing on the sofa is a preferable way to spend half an hour. Pick at will. They have all applied at one time or another. This is perhaps how I have ended up where I am now. Nine and a half stone. Some of you may think that doesn't sound too bad. But I am only just 5'3" standing REALLY straight. That image of a slightly flabby oompa-loompa forming, that's about right. I am RUBBISH at ...
#ISpy #2: I spy with my little eye something beginning with l
Hola peepers! We are racing through this here alphabet once again at an alarming rate. Can it really be L already? I have been racking my brains all week, seriously my head hurts, and then took THE MOST AMAZING shot of a slice of lime. Seriously cool photo. Then remembered that was EXACTLY what I did last time. Dammit! So I went on a hunt for a llama. Unsuccessful. Likewise with the lion. Peskily secretive beasts that they are. I don't own any lipstick, or a ladder, so I was beginning to feel a little glum. But then...tada... "I spy with my little eye something beginning ...
#BlogcampUK 2012
This morning I awoke before the crack of dawn, left a sleeping Mr B cosily snuggled up in bed, and dragged my sorry bottom towards the bathroom to shower. Having craftily managed to avoid the squeaky floorboard DIRECTLY in front of the bathroom door I managed to shower and dress and almost dry my hair before the taxi arrived to whisk me off to the train station without waking the boy. Phew. It was 5:30am. What was I doing up and about at 5:30am WITHOUT a screaming child attached to my hip I hear you ask. I was heading for THAT LONDON. The incredibly unsociable time being necessitated by the ...
#ISpy #2: I spy with my little eye something beginning with k.
Another toughie for you this week. Unless of course you are simply mad about swine? No? This was taken when I took W to the city farm earlier in the week. We really love it there. It is great just to be able to let him run about and listen to him squeal with delight at the geese and the goats and, of course, the pigs. So without further ado... "I spy with my little eye something beginning with k." Please leave me your guesses below. To enter yourself or to see what everyone else has been spying this week the magical linky-list awaits you. Do pop back again later and show the ...
Lymphatic Cancer Awareness Week: 10th-16th September 2012
Lymphatic Cancer Awareness Week takes place from 10 to 16 September, and aims to raise awareness of lymphoma, the UK’s fifth most common cancer. Lovely mummy blogger Roz from 'Life, Love and Lollipops' was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma when her eldest child was just eight months old. This was what brought her to blogging. The Lymphoma Association have been a great support to Roz and she, in turn, is trying to raise awareness of their work and the disease this week. The Lymphoma Association, the UK’s only specialist charity which provides information and support to anyone affected by ...
South West Blogger Social: #Namaskarmeetup
Last Friday saw the second ever South West Blogger Social. This time a small, yet I like to think select, group of bloggers met for some rather lovely curry at Bristol's Namaskar Lounge. Namaskar Lounge is centrally located on Bristol's Welsh Back and is truly an Indian with a difference. The decor is incredibly sleek and stylish boasting an open-kitchen and rather lovely cocktail bar. The food is not only beautifully flavoured but presented in a modern, elegant way. And ladies, the bathroom was immaculate! The staff could not have been more helpful and were able to advise ...

The Day That…
What was the most important day in your life so far? Your wedding day? The birthday of your child? The day you got some really good news or passed an exam? I imagine it is different for all of us. What you probably didn't do that day was get up before daybreak, leave the comfort of your warm comfy bed, and head out to the Cornish coastline in order to capture a photograph of the dawn sky. If your special day happens to be after the 21st June 2005 though fear not. Someone else did. Gavan Goulder did exactly this to commemorate the birth of a son to a close friend, and later the birth ...
