I must confess that I only stumbled across this grape very recently, though the Falanghina grape varieties are amongst the oldest type cultivated in Italy for wine-making. This particular bottle hails from the hillsides of the Beneventano region of Italy, a few hours drive North-East of Naples. It is thought that it's name is derived from the Latin falangae, or the stakes used to support the growing vines. It is an extremely light, zippy little white, pale in colour with a fresh zesty taste and a mild hint of pears. It is delicious served very chilled and I think could fast become my ...

E is for “Encrypted Search Term”
Just recently this here blog has begun to scare me a little. On an almost daily basis now someone finds el blog via an "encrypted search term". WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? I have NO idea, but it scares the bejaysus out of me me a little. Are the government spying on me? Have I randomly written some tenacious phrase that has sent alarm bells ringing in GCHQ? Am I now one of MI5's most watched? WHAT DOES IT MEAN? On reflection, I am pretty sure it is none of the above and actually down to some nerdy computer-speak that I am thus-far unaware of. However, some people have come ...

D is for devotion
W and I are visiting the grandparents this week as my sister and her family are over from Canada for Easter. To say that they are a little bit excited to have their three grandsons, all together, in their house for the week would be a slight understatement. Though perhaps they won't be quite as excited come the end of the week. The excitement does not end with them though. Apart from having some wonderful time with my beautiful nephews, a stay with the grandparents generally also means: A few lie-ins. It is a known fact that Grannys like to do breakfast. Babysitters ...

Listography: My five April resolutions
Ok, so this month Kate is challenging us to set five resolutions....ok, easy....and stick to them.....hmmm. So, here we go. 1. Complete the blogging from A-Z challenge. 2. Design some business cards....EEEEEKKKKK....that sounds so daft to me...for Cybher. So how about you? What would you like to do this month? Let me know below. Merry April folks x ...
B is for Bottom
Dear Bottom, I feel that our relationship has changed of late. We used to be so good together. I knew that you had my back. But now, I feel like you are growing away from me. Slowly but surely. And as you grow from strength to strength I feel smaller in comparison. I feel like I am having to carry the weight of this burden. We weren't always like this. Perhaps I have not been giving you enough attention. Please let's go back to the way things were. *Squats*. Anyone else slightly worried for how April may turn out? ...
A-Z Bloggers Challenge
Anyone fancy a bit of a challenge? While browsing one of my favourite blogs, Yellow Days, earlier today I came across this post. The delightful Cat is taking part in April's Blogging from A-Z Challenge. This simply involves writing a post each day of the month, though allowing Sundays off for good behaviour, the content being based on a word beginning with each letter of the alphabet in turn. It is basically NoBloPoMo again with an alphabetti-spaghetti kinda vibe. Fancy giving it a go? If so you can linky on up here and check out the rest as well. I am entry number 1720. ...
