W is definitely an outdoors boy. “Shall we go for a walk?” is generally met with an excited dash under the stairs to retrieve his shoes and coat and then an equally excited dash for the front door, whatever the weather.
As such he is starting to wear through shoes quite quickly so we were delighted when he was sent a very funky pair of Kickers by Barratts to try out.
First reaction was sheer delight. “New boots Mummy!”. I suspect this love of shoes is perhaps something he has inherited from me and not his father.
Initially they were a little tricky to wrestle on to his excited, wriggly little feet but now that we have worn them in a bit this is much easier.
They appear, to my untrained eye, to fit well and although it is difficult to assess the comfort with a toddler’s limited vocabulary the fact they are generally the first pair he grabs would suggest that they must feel pretty good.
And they look super-cute.
My one concern is that they did state on the label that they could not guarantee that the blue dye would not run when wet so we have not worn them out in the rain. Nor have we let them venture into nursery where somehow everything returns home soaking wet.
But that’s ok with us. They are too cool for school.

Disclosure: No payment was received for this post however we were sent the boots free of charge for the purpose of this review.

Some rather nice boots from Barratts just about sums it all up, really.
Do they give him extra grip for slamming the doors shut?

Sadly they do! Mr B had a bit of a chat with him about the door slamming scenario and, like a miracle, today has been ever so slightly better. Am not counting my chickens though.
