First words

March 20, 2014 By jbmumofone 20 Comments

Little Miss is now eight months old and is a complete chatterbox.  Oddly enough she spoke her very first words on New Year’s Day and, just like her brother, despite my relentless ‘mama, mama’ coaching she said….

….well it wasn’t mama.

It is her word of choice and she shouts it constantly.

Here she is in action.

Remind you of anyone?

Is Dada every child’s first word? Do let me know below.

    Awww, she’s adorable!

She’s also crafty and is clearly playing the long game – softening up Dad so she can pester him for money as she grows up.

I actually can’t remember what the boys first words were. I have a feeling E’s was no. It was certainly his favourite if not his first.

LOL. The boy quickly progressed from Dada to no…and then mine. He managed quite well with just those for a while!

How cute…. My daughter’s first word was Dada… I had hoped my son’s would be Mama, but it wasn’t, it was “no” 😀

Oh bless! The first word here was Dada too, I think that is just what happens and Da’s through History seized upon it! If you look at lots of other languages the word for Dad is very similar and I am sure it is related to first sounds. Don’t be too offended. I can’t believe how grown up she is! Congratulations, she is a very bonny beautiful little girl x

I love looking back over them, especially at this stage when they are really starting to communicate. Must take some more!

Is it so terrible that I can’t recall the first words? I’ll have to consult my blog, I must of recorded them there somewhere! Mich x

Ohhh, so sweet! It’s such a lovely and exciting stage when those words first start to appear. I think it was Dada that was first here too, shortly followed by ‘baaaaa’ which actually meant cat! x

Dada and no certainly seem to be the front-runners.
