Wyevale: Breakfast With Santa

Wyevale: Breakfast With Santa

This weekend we are feeling particularly festive at Casa B.  Today is the day we go to pick out our Christmas tree and yesterday we were lucky enough to be treated to Breakfast with Santa himself. Across the country Wyevale garden centres are offering families the chance to have breakfast, or tea, with Santa and his Elves and yesterday we headed over to Jack's Patch in Teignmouth to do just this. The restaurant area had been decorated, Xmas music played and we set about pulling our crackers and donning our hats.  Whist waiting for breakfast the smalls amused themselves with ...

A Xmas Less Ordinary: My Top Five Picks

It is that time of year again when many of us are scratching our heads trying to get away from the usual boring Xmas gift ideas.  Never fear I am here to help with my top five picks this festive season so, before you buy another box of smells or another pair of socks take a look at these:   The first would make a lovely stocking filler.  "The Very Hungover Caterpillar." is a really cute parody of the classic children's tale except this time it follows the quest of one man as he attempts to shake off his hangover, eating whatever he can get his hands on and annoying his family ...

Help Childline This Xmas with the NSPCC #LetterFromSanta Campaign

Regular readers will already know that this year we are supporting the NSPCC's #LetterFromSanta campaign.  For a suggested donation of just £5 you can get your own personalised and beautifully illustrated letter from Santa for your child. Every £5 raised by Letter from Santa could help ChildLine be there whenever a child seeks help either online or by phone. Every £12 raised could help train a ChildLine Schools Service volunteer to talk to a primary school child about abuse, giving them the confidence to talk and showing them who is ready to listen. Every £50 raised could help an NSPCC ...

NSPCC Letters From Santa

I am going to say it. I know it is only October but I still need to say it. The C word. CHRISTMAS! With the start of Strictly Come Dancing the countdown to Christmas really begins at Casa B but it has started this year for an even more exciting reason than ballroom dancing on a Saturday night.  We are so delighted to be involved with this year's NSPCC Letter From Santa campaign. Every year so many of us go to great lengths to keep the magic of Xmas and Santa alive for our little ones.  At Casa B we leave out carrots and water for the reindeer, a sherry for Santa himself, as well ...

Welcome!

Jbmumofone is written by me, jbmumofone, and this blog is my baby. Although clearly I didn’t think this name through because I’m now a mum of two actual babies.

I blog because I love to write, and for sanity’s sake, and have been blogging since August 2011. So why not dig on in and explore?
