With Fathers Day fast approaching I am sure some of you are still scratching your heads and perhaps looking around for inspiration. For once, I am organised! W and I have made Daddy a simple memory box and, with the help of the lovely folk at Your Image 2 Canvas we have also made two lovely, personalised canvas prints. The first was a photo taken just before bedtime a month or so ago and as soon as I saw it I knew I needed to do something a bit special with it. Your Image 2 Canvas have created this beautiful 12 x 12 inch square canvas which would retail for just £19.99. For this ...
Fathers Day Craft: Create a Simple Memory Box
Below is a really simple Fathers Day Craft that I have made as a present for Mr B. It is an idea that I stumbled across on pinterest and have been dying to try myself. Mr B is a bit of an old softie and loves to hang on to memorabilia from our trips away and evenings out. A random search through his jacket pockets can reveal old concert tickets, aeroplane stubbs, ski-passes, restaurant menus etc. The trouble is we don't really have anywhere to store them away so I decided to make him a memory box. It really couldn't have been simpler. First I ordered a small wooden shadow-box from ...

Best Ever Driving Song?
Carcraft are currently on the hunt for the UKs best ever driving song? I am sure this is a question most of you will find easy to answer. Me...not so much. Partly because I have a pretty chequered history of driving. It took me no less than seven attempts to pass my driving test. I MAY have crashed in one and there MAY have been a little but of vomiting in another but, like THEY say, seventh time's a charm. Don't they. I then drove for a grand total of about 12 months before deciding I hated it and sold my car. During that 12 months though I would never drive without music and I ...

Thirty-four weeks and counting
Thirty-four weeks into pregnancy number one I was so ready for W's arrival. Match-ready you might say. The nursery was freshly painted, cot assembled, drawers filled with clean and neatly ironed baby-grows and blankets. I had bottles and breast-pumps at the ready, hospital bag packed and the delivery suite number on speed-dial. Thirty-four weeks into pregnancy number two is an entirely different story. The 'nursery' is currently a wasteland of old and new mattresses piled in a massive mattress mountain atop a partly dis-assembled bed. A mountain randomly strewn with leaflets issued ...
