…and relax.
I blogged some time ago about my lack of me-time. Well this morning I got some. An entire morning, no less, with Mr B at work and W in nursery. Did I savour every moment, enjoy every little minute, cram in all those lovely things I want to do but never seem to have the time? Did I? Well, this is how it went. Picture the scene. It is 8am, the boys have left and I am snuggled up in bed. Awake. Left ear fairy: Mmmmm go back to sleep Right ear fairy: You could always get up and clean the bathroom you know. While it's quiet. Left ear fairy: Shhh, no sleep. You said you were ...
Davina for Next: The conclusion
Honestly folks, I feel quite sad writing this, my final review post of the Davina for Next gear. I was a little unsure about writing sponsored/paid/compensated posts on the blog but I was quite genuinely selfishly smitten with the idea of being given this stuff to review and was just THRILLED to get picked. However, I was determined to do it honestly. And I have. So here it comes. After four weeks of pretty thorough testing, my final thoughts... The Davina for Next Vest: I love it. It takes a little wriggling to get into but, once in, there will be no wardrobe malfunctions ...
#ISpy: I spy with my little eye something beginning with X
That wily minx, Motherventing, has set us a PROPER CHALLENGE this week folks. She only went and picked X for this weeks letter. I can think of about...mmmm...two words beginning with X. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Since she set the challenge I will let her be the judge of our efforts and award one lucky I-Spyer the choice of next weeks letter. Please let us know in the comments below Motherventing, and whoever happens to be crowned KIng/Queen this week, likewise, so we know what we are up against next week. Perhaps she will also lend you her kitten-tiara? So, ...

Something I Love
Well, the magnificent Love All Blogs have set us a new challenge, to share with you folks a photo of something I love. I think, after a GREAT DEAL of thinking, that the following photo qualifies. I am sharing an image of something I love with Love All Blogs and Albelli. So, do you have a photo of something you love that you would like to share? If so, linky on up by clicking the ...
This week baby I promise…
W and I found ourselves in a particularly slow-moving queue at the supermarket this week. Why is it we always seem to end up stuck behind the slowest grocery packer in the world, who will take THIRTY YEARS to find her purse from within her full-to-the-brim-with-junk-handbag and then, purse located, will discover that she has forgotten to get bananas... "You don't mind if I just nip and grab a bunch now do you?" Grrrrrr. Any-hoo...it was one of THOSE queues so W and I amused ourselves by pulling faces and laughing at each other. We do this a lot. "He has a really dirty laugh ...
The Wine Corner: Aldi Toscana Rosso, paired with Tomato and Bacon Pasta
After a little bit of research today I learnt that the best wine to accompany a tomato-based pasta dish would be something of the Sangiovese variety. Sangiovese is Italy's most commonly planted red grape which typically makes medium to full-bodied wine. It is the main, minimum 80%, constituent grape of Chianti wine. The wine I have picked, however, is not made solely from this grape. The San Zenone Toscana Rosso I have chosen is in fact a blend of primarily the San Giovese grape with both Merlot, the most widely planted grape of the French Bordeaux region, and Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape ...
