This cardboard box car was so very easy to make and made the toddler so very happy. I had been saving the box for a while intending to do something with it. Eventually Mr B kind of insisted that I did as my pile of accumulated rubbish craft supplies was reaching momentous proportions and threatening to take over the dining room completely. This week I finally decided to turn this cardboard box into a car for the boy and here is how to do it: Take one large cardboard box... Cut off the two longest side flaps and one shorter end-flap, retaining the fourth end-flap. Fold this ...

Belly-busting with the 5:2 diet and a little bit of shredding.
Desperate to lose some of the baby-weight I have recently embarked on the 30 day shred once again. Whilst it feels great to be exercising again I am not too happy with the rate of weight loss. Patience is not a particular strength of mine. Not being one to let any new diet or exercise fad pass me by I have decided to give the 5:2 diet a go. I know several bloggers have had great success with it, the lovely Steph from I'm Counting UFOZ and Lucy from The Mummy Returns to name but two. Today is my first day and this is what I have just had for lunch. The recipe is actually one I got ...

Hoards of similar toddleagers expected to play with a limited number of toys and, heaven forbid, SHARE them. It would appear a fierce territorial steak is rife in the average toddleager . Cries and wails of "Mine Mummy mine!" can be heard reverberating from every wall. Here are things the boy has recently declared to be HIS: My makeup My hair ...

They are a really lovely shape. Finally I decided to hang on to a few and see what I could make with them and a vase seemed an obvious choice. For this all you will need is an empty glass bottle, craft gems/rhinestones which can be found in my amazon store and craft glue. First I soaked the bottle for an hour or so in warm, soapy water before removing the labels. Then I simply stuck on ...
