It has taken me a little while to sit down and document the events of Easter Sunday. I have been in recovery...from the shame. Yep, Little Miss decided to strut, or rather scream, her stuff once more. I have been somewhat remiss in my church attendance of late and so, being Easter Sunday, I decided to accompany my parents and the kids to mass. Not just any mass, Easter Sunday mass, the highlight of the Catholic year. It's kind of a big deal. Now I know that an hour can be a long time to expect the smalls to sit still and behave but my mother assured me that with some ...
Mummy Wants To Be A #MarkWarnerMum
Shhhhh! It is me, W. Don't tell Mummy but I have taken over her blog. She hopes thinks I'm asleep but I just had to tell you guys something. You see Mummy says she wants to be a Mark Warner Mum and I think she is going to need our help. Mark Warner are currently looking for five Mums or Dads to represent them next year and Mummy keeps saying how wonderful this would be. It means that we would get to spend some family time together in the sun, or even learning to ski! How exciting would that be? Daddy and I have a lot of fun together at home... ...and even when we are ...
Bring On The Funny #S2S2D
As some of you may have been aware last month was a particularly difficult one for a fellow blogger, the lovely Emma Day from Crazy With Twins. Emma was diagnosed with thyroid cancer which required a period of isolation whilst she received radiotherapy treatment and, perhaps even more difficult, a recovery period where she was not allowed within several metres of her babies until all the radioactivity was out of her system. Thankfully, fighter that she is, she was able to kick it all out of her system sooner than expected and is back in the arms of her family. Having had the pleasure ...
Blog Gem: B is for Bottom
In the run-up to my blog-o-versary here is my second blog gem. This is a post that I wrote as part of the A-Z Bloggers challenge earlier this year. It was early on so I hadn't run out of steam then... Dear Bottom, I feel that our relationship has changed of late. We used to be so good together. I knew that you had my back. But now, I feel like you are growing away from me. Slowly but surely. And as you grow from strength to strength I feel smaller in comparison. I feel like I am having to carry the weight of this burden. We weren’t always like this. Perhaps I ...
Treat your Dad This Father’s Day: Old Guys Rule
This last weekend was spent back visiting the folks in Stratford Upon Avon. After a lovely day at the races, where Mr B broke his run of extraordinarily bad luck and backed his first ever winner, we stopped off at a local pub on the way home. This being race day it was packed but three very kind souls let us share their table. One of these kind souls was a very nice bloke called Tim who turned out to be the chap in charge of one of my favourite shops in Stratford, Old Guys Rule. For those of you who have not come across them yet they have several stores throughout the UK but are also ...
H is for Hilarious!
Ok, so this is kind of cheating as I am going to point you to hilarious stuff that other people have written, but I figure that is in keeping with the spirit of the blogging from A-Z challenge. It is all about finding great new blogs right? Here are five posts that I have recently read that not only made me laugh on reading, but also later when I would randomly recall them at work, unprofessional, in the supermarket, embarrassing, in the middle of the night, does not aid insomnia. But I promise, they are worth it. They are just brilliant. Q and A with Harriet Spinster from ...
Ten things I tell myself every day
I have been tagged in this lovely new meme by its creator, the wonderful Mum of Three Boys. She has shared with us the 10 things she tells herself on a daily basis and is asking us to do the same. Isn't talking to yourself the first sign of madness? Or is that asking yourself if it is the first sign? I forget. So my ten daily doses of wisdom, questions and angst... Five more minutes....*yawn* Tetley tea = breakfast. It has calcium and vitamins...right? The scales are clearly broken again. ANOTHER grey hair. Are you kidding me? Is it time for W's nap yet? Do ...
Jobs…
It struck me today that I am perhaps not as enlightened and independent a female as I may have thought. Today a job arose. A pretty simple job to be fair, but one that I instinctively ran away shrank from. We are in the process of reclaiming transforming our back garden. It has been somewhat neglected for over a year and the neighbourhood cats visit way more often than we do, the weeds are approaching the skyline and we may very well soon require a machete to get to the back gate. So, the solution...dig up the lawn. It appeared a good idea at the time since I went a bit mental with ...
Saturday is Caption Day! 17/03/2012
A really quick one from me this morning as am dashing off to work but I couldn't resist posting this one for your captions! Mahahahaha "I fear W may have spent too much time watching Daddy 'talk' to other drivers." Please leave me your captions below and then head on over to Her Magnificence Mammasaurus' to check out the rest. Happy weekend folks. ...

Job Role: Assistant Hair Fairy Location: South West Salary: 20 loopins per hour plus attractive bonus scheme Due to a sudden rapid increase in workload I now require an assistant to help with my current client. You will be required to work seven days a week between the hours of 11pm and 6am.
