As you may have guessed from the title of this post I might just be a little grumpy today. But, dear reader, it is not without good reason. Yep, you guessed it, I am in pain. *Weeps* Now I know what you are thinking but, no, this is not just any old pain, this is PROPER pain. At the grand old age of thirty-five *coughs* twenty-one I have been struck down not once, but TWICE in the last month with tonsillitis. Tonsillitis, can you believe it? It is something that primary school children are generally affected with no? Not adults, surely? I am sure ...
Prize Draw: Win Beautiful Wall Art From Witty Doodle RRP £55
Bathtime is one of my favourite times of the day with the children. Both The Boy and Little Miss love playing with their boats and toy ducks, or wack-wacks as Little Miss likes to call them, and they are still at the stage where they are happy to share the bath and splash each other play together. So, when Witty Doodle asked if we would like to review some of their unique wall stickers I was immediately drawn to their Underwater theme. They did point out that their wall stickers have really been designed for use in a child's bedroom rather than the bathroom but I decided to give it ...
Easy Midweek Meal: Tuna Pasta Bake
The following recipe is so quick and simple to prepare it is a staple midweek meal at Casa B, and one that the kids will always finish without any fuss. It is also one that won't break the bank using mostly store cupboard ingredients. As always, if you do try this out please let me know how you get on in the comments below. ...

We’re on our way to Wembley #TeamHonk
"We're on our way to Wembley, we're on our way to Wembley, da da da da...." ...Is not something, as a long suffering Aston Villa fan, I thought I was ever likely to catch myself singing. But today I am. Mr B and I will soon, indeed, be making our way to Wembley. On March 8th in fact. However, this has nothing to do with football, oh no. We are going to dance. For six hours. Straight. *Tries not to look panicked.* We are joining in once more with the mighty Team Honk in an effort to raise money for this year's Comic Relief, and in doing so ...

Sunday Country Sunday
One of our main aims when making the move to Devon was to try and live outside more. Today was a chilly Sunday, but a sunny one none the less. We decided to brave it, wrap up the kids and go and investigate some of the fields that we can see from our garden. It is a pretty steep hill up to Highweek and Little Miss had been up half the night so we cheated and drove part way, dumped the car, and then headed out into the fields. The boys faffed about with some sticks, as they do, while Little Miss and I went exploring. We discovered that not only could we see our house but we could ...
Prize Draw: Win Davina’s New 7 Minute Fit and Get Fit with Davina…and Me!
As it is January I bet many of you, like me, are once again promising that THIS will be the year to get fit. Considering joining a gym? Wondering how many times a week you will plan to go versus how many times a week you will ACTUALLY go? Yep. Been there before too. I know from experience that joining a gym is utterly impractical for both me and my family. There simply just aren't enough hours in the day. To be perfectly honest even before we had kids I would rarely ever go often enough to justify the monthly membership fees. Finding time to exercise is hard. We all know this, and ...
Country Life and My Netflixy-New Year
So New Years Eve was a blast. Well, as much of a blast as it could be with two small children. Mr B's brother and girlfriend were visiting from Italy and Mr B cooked up a storm. We are really trying to embrace our new surroundings so the menu was very much seafood-focused. We started with seared fresh local scallops, asparagus and bacon. This was followed by local Brixham crab linguine and we finished with a fillet of Dab, recommended by the fishmonger for it's full flavour, which Mr B poached in butter. Yep, you heard me, butter. 500g of it. Eep. So delicious but, unsurprisingly, ...
Happy New Year #2015
One of my many resolutions for the coming year is to be a better blogger. I have been abandoning the blog somewhat of late and it is something that I really do want to get back to. I feel like I have kind of stopped writing. At least writing about the things that are actually on my mind or going on in my life. It is not the journal that it it once was and I miss that. As the kids are getting bigger I am becoming increasingly sure that I may share less about them. Later this year our lives will change completely when The Boy starts school and I think this will also be a turning point ...
