Simple Valentine’s Day Card and Wrapping Paper
It has been a while since we have done anything crafty and with Valentine's just around the corner today we decided to have a go at some homemade wrapping paper and Valentine's card. Supplies for this are very simple so great if you are on a budget. We used: Brown paper Red paint Toilet roll tube White card Googley eyes For the wrapping paper we simply squished our toilet roll tube a bit to make a slightly wonky heart shape, dipped in the paint and stamped away. The other paint pots came in handy for holding the paper flat. For the card ...
Community Hits Netflix. Cool Cool Cool
I received an unexpected mail this morning from the lovely folks at Netflix. As regular readers will know I am currently a member of the Netflix #Streamteam and they occasionally send me updates of new additions they think I would like. The latest was simply THE BEST news. The entire five seasons of 'Community' are now available on Netflix. We are huge fans of this show at Casa B. For those who have not seen it Community documents the experience of a lawyer whose degree turns out to be bogus and has to return to college. He becomes a member of a small study group ...
Monday Parenting Pin It Party #90
Look up there folks, yep there *points*. It is our NINETIETH #pinitparty this week. Can you believe it? When I first started the linky I was so worried that nobody would join in and I would be sat, all on my lonesome, waiting for my virtual guests to arrive. But arrive you did. Each week we regularly see more than 50 or 60 of you come along and share with us your fabulous crafts, recipes, printables and family stories. It really has turned into the most fantastic parenting and family resource and for that I would like to say a huge thank you to all who have ...
Who Needs Tonsils Anyway?
As you may have guessed from the title of this post I might just be a little grumpy today. But, dear reader, it is not without good reason. Yep, you guessed it, I am in pain. *Weeps* Now I know what you are thinking but, no, this is not just any old pain, this is PROPER pain. At the grand old age of thirty-five *coughs* twenty-one I have been struck down not once, but TWICE in the last month with tonsillitis. Tonsillitis, can you believe it? It is something that primary school children are generally affected with no? Not adults, surely? I am sure ...
Prize Draw: Win Beautiful Wall Art From Witty Doodle RRP £55
Bathtime is one of my favourite times of the day with the children. Both The Boy and Little Miss love playing with their boats and toy ducks, or wack-wacks as Little Miss likes to call them, and they are still at the stage where they are happy to share the bath and splash each other play together. So, when Witty Doodle asked if we would like to review some of their unique wall stickers I was immediately drawn to their Underwater theme. They did point out that their wall stickers have really been designed for use in a child's bedroom rather than the bathroom but I decided to give it ...
Easy Midweek Meal: Tuna Pasta Bake
The following recipe is so quick and simple to prepare it is a staple midweek meal at Casa B, and one that the kids will always finish without any fuss. It is also one that won't break the bank using mostly store cupboard ingredients. As always, if you do try this out please let me know how you get on in the comments below. ...
Family Winter Beef Casserole
Now we are back in the cold grip of Winter Mr B and I are craving more and more slow-cooked hearty food. This family winter beef casserole is one of my favourites. Ir is really simple to make, freezes well, and the kids love it too. I find stews one of the easiest ways to get vegetables into the toddler who can be a little fussy at times. For me the key to this recipe is time, thyme, and thickly chopped carrots. I love how sweet and soft they get after several hours in the pot. If you do give this a go please let me know what you think below. ...

We’re on our way to Wembley #TeamHonk
"We're on our way to Wembley, we're on our way to Wembley, da da da da...." ...Is not something, as a long suffering Aston Villa fan, I thought I was ever likely to catch myself singing. But today I am. Mr B and I will soon, indeed, be making our way to Wembley. On March 8th in fact. However, this has nothing to do with football, oh no. We are going to dance. For six hours. Straight. *Tries not to look panicked.* We are joining in once more with the mighty Team Honk in an effort to raise money for this year's Comic Relief, and in doing so ...
